ROBERT NIELSON BComm, FCA
Robert is the principal of the practice. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, graduating in 1971 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia being admitted as a Fellow in April 1984. He has been in continuous practice as a Chartered Accountant since 1974.
Brief career details are as follows:-
1970 - 1974
Completed training as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse and was employed as an accounting and audit manager with various smaller firms.
1974 - 1981
Commenced practice in partnership in a suburban firm engaged on accounting, auditing and taxation assignments. Provided taxation and accounting services to a diverse range of small business clients and audit clients.
1981 - 1985
Commenced sole practice in the Sydney business district. Provided full taxation and accounting services to a range of smaller clients and also acted as Secretary and provided administration and monthly accounting and reporting services to three local subsidiaries of multi-national corporations.
During this period acted as Director and Secretary of a mining company listed on ASX and maintained share registers for two companies.
1985 - 1987
Engaged on a computer consulting assignment with Greenwood Cholinergic, Chartered Accountants while maintaining a small practice.
1987 to present
Recommenced practice on a full-time basis. The practice has expanded from a very small base to a point where a full range of management, accounting, taxation and audit services are provided to a diverse client portfolio which encompasses professional, business and rural clients.

Business Services Manager
Peter joined the firm in 2006. He is responsible for all facets of accounting and tax compliance for a broad range of individual and corporate clients. He also provides assistance to clients with business analysis, cash flow preparation, MYOB setup and ongoing support.
Peter has enjoyed a remarkable and diverse career background that has provided him with a wealth of experience and skills. After serving as a Seaman Officer in the Royal Australian Navy for 12 years, he then embarked upon a successful career in the shipping industry achieving the qualification of Master Class 1 and taking on the responsibilities as Chief Mate.
After entering the Accounting Profession in 2004, Peter has gained wide practical experience in bookkeeping and accounting for small to medium size enterprises. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of New England.
Peter was admitted as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2007. He is also a registered tax agent.

PAUL PHAM

Business Services Supervisor
Paul joined Robert Neilson Partners in early 2010 as Business Services Supervisor. He has over 5 years Business Services experience in small to medium sized Professional Accounting Firms. His responsibilities include accounting and tax compliance for clients varying in both size and operations. Paul also assists clients with internal reporting and day-to-day accounting issues.
Paul is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Commercial Law) and a Graduate Diploma of Commerce (Electronic Commerce) from the University of Auckland (NZ).

2004 - 2007
Employed by WHK Auckland Chartered Accountants, commenced training as Business Advisory Accountant and gained experience in accounting and tax compliance as well as assisting client with management accounting (including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, monthly management reporting).
2007 - 2009
Employed by PKF Auckland, Chartered Accountants. As Business Services Senior/Supervisor, he specialised in accounting and tax compliance, business consulting. He was also responsible for client accounting software installation and training.
2010 to present
Employed by Robert Nielson Partners as Business Services Supervisor.

KYLIE WEE 
Kylie has been with Robert Nielson Partners since April 2006 and she manages the Audit Section of the practice. She has had over 7 years experience in Audit & Assurance working over a wide range of industry in Australia and Singapore. She has also worked in corporate banking in Singapore and the government sector in Malaysia. She holds a B. Comm in Marketing & Management, a Grad. Dip in Accounting and Master in Business Administration from the University of Western Australia, Perth.
Kylie loves all racket sports as both competitor and spectator and has a weakness for any rich, luscious dessert. Her long term plan is to travel throughout Europe.

MONIKA GUNAWAN
Monika graduated from University of Technology, Sydney in 2005 and hold Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Bachelor of Computing (Database). She joined Robert Nielson Partners in October 2007 and works in the Business Services Section. She is currently part way through the CA program. Prior to joining the firm she worked for a listed company as an assistant accountant.
Monika enjoys shopping, loves to travel and savours the taste of great food.

SIMON XIA
Simon joined Robert Nielson Partners in April 2009. He works in the Business Services Section and is responsible in assisting in all facets of accounting and tax compliance tasks, assisting the managers and principal of the firm.
He graduated from the University of Western Sydney in 2006 with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and is currently part way through the CA Program.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer, fishing and motor racing.

LINDA NGUYEN
Linda joined Robert Nielson Partners in March 2010 as a Graduate Accountant in Business Services and assists with various tasks including client bookkeeping. She has graduated from the University of Technology Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts in Organisational Learning and is presently completing a Master in Professional Accounting at the University of New South Wales.

ROSANNE SMITH
Practice Manager
Almost two years ago as the firm was rapidly growing and staff were becoming stretched, Rosanne joined the company in the newly appointed role of Practice Manager. Having come from an administration background in legal and insurance domains, Rosanne is comfortable with her role in office management and is now enjoying the new experiences in the world of accountancy.
The only time Rosanne is not around to answer queries and care for the office is when she is off on annual leave somewhere in Europe. Rosanne loves ancient history and has a goal is to live in northern Italy for 6 months in years to come.
