Robert is the principal of the practice. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, graduating in 1971 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia being admitted as a Fellow in April 1984. He has been in continuous practice as a Chartered Accountant since 1974.
Brief career details are as follows:-
1970 - 1974
Completed training as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse and was employed as an accounting and audit manager with various smaller firms.
1974 - 1981
Commenced practice in partnership in a suburban firm engaged on accounting, auditing and taxation assignments. Provided taxation and accounting services to a diverse range of small business clients and audit clients.
1981 - 1985
Commenced sole practice in the Sydney business district. Provided full taxation and accounting services to a range of smaller clients and also acted as Secretary and provided administration and monthly accounting and reporting services to three local subsidiaries of multi-national corporations.
During this period acted as Director and Secretary of a mining company listed on ASX and maintained share registers for two companies.
1985 - 1987
Engaged on a computer consulting assignment with Greenwood Challoner, Chartered Accountants while maintaining a small practice.
1987 to present
Recommenced practice on a full-time basis. The practice has expanded from a very small base to a point where a full range of management, accounting, taxation and audit services are provided to a diverse client portfolio which encompasses professional, business and rural clients.

Jim has been employed in the practice since April 2001 as the Tax and Accounting Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from University of Western Sydney graduating in 1985 and was admitted as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1987. He is also a registered tax agent.

1972 - 1979
Employed by various professional firms and gained experience in audits, including large public companies, taxation and financial services.
1979 - 1987
Employed by Horwath & Horwath, Chartered Accountants, specialising in taxation, business consulting and financial services to clients. Also responsible for the conduct of various audits during this period.
1987 - 2001
Chief Financial Officer of Ozfilm Pty Limited. Extensively involved during this time in raising funds for a number of large film projects and accounting administration and control of each project. Also acted as Financial Controller for an Australian Licenced Securities Dealer established to fund and manage local and overseas film productions.
2001 to present
Employed with Robert Nielson Partners as Taxation and Accounting Manager

Ozden is a Senior Accountant with the practice.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with major in Accounting at UWS and was admitted as a Chartered Accountant in 2005.
Prior to starting at Robert Nielson Partners, he was employed with Permanent Trustees for over 2 years where he was responsible for all facets of accounting and tax compliance for a range individual and corporate clients.
He joined Robert Nielson Partners in July 2002 and has provided accounting, tax and assurance services to a wide range of clients since that time and assisted the partner in providing assurance services to various clients from solicitor trust audits to publicly listed companies.
Ozden also provides assistance to clients with MYOB set ups and on-going support.
